Insurance

I have made the decision to be an out-of-network practice, which I feel will allow clients increased privacy and more power and choice in the treatment process. Please verify if your health insurance includes “out-of-network” benefits that will cover a percentage of my practice fee; depending on your insurance, you may find reimbursement rates between 40-80 %.
To determine if your insurance company provides reimbursement, contact your insurer directly. Here are a few questions to ask about reimbursement eligibility:

• Do I have out-of-network benefits to see a mental health professional?
• If yes, what percentage is covered?
• How many sessions are covered per year?
• Do I have a deductible and has it been met?
• What CPT (Current procedural terminology) codes are reimbursable?
• What forms do I need to submit for reimbursement?

Privacy and Confidentiality

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include:

• Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
• If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
• If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.

Covid 19 Policy

For your comfort and safety during this time, all sessions are conducted by teleconference using Zoom, with the exception of Walk and Talk Therapy sessions.
